IFD Licensing models and software as a service
IFD offers its own solutions in three different models:
- License Buying – model (traditional)
- Software-Leasing – model
- Software as a Service – model
License buying model
The traditional model of buying licenses covers the license usage. Most of our individual projects and solutions include enhancements by customizing and integration. The products and solutions are normally used and operated at customer site. Optionally, IFD offers different software-support agreements and support models on pay-per-case or flat rates with defined service-level-agreements (SLA) and SLA-times.
License leasing model
The model of software leasing is based on a previously defined period and normally covers license usage and software maintenance. Most of our projects also contain optional or obligation customization and integration agreements parts as well.
The availability of these models depends on the geographical location (country) of the customer.
The leasing time for the licenses / products is defined over a period. The billing of the leasing amouts is done based on previously defined frequency over the period of time agreed in the leasing contract.
he operation of the solutions / products is normally done on customer site. Optionally IFD offers optional services for “Hosting & Services” for operation of this solution on their own IT server systems and infrastructure. Besides support models on pay-per-case or flat rates with defined service-level-agreements, (SLA) and SLA-times are offered.
Software as a Service model
The model Modell Software as a Service takes advantage of the IFD data center to operate the different solutions for the customer. Software as a Service often contains optional and obligational components.
Software as a Service models are based on monthly usage amounts on the basis of user or enterprise pricing, which covers the usage of the agreed solutions / products accordingly to the license agreements. For software as a service, IFD offers different duration of contracts.
The operation of the software solutions / products is normally done in the IFD own data center. The basing software as a service contracts optionally contain different options for support models on pay-per-case or flat rates with defined service-level-agreements (SLA) and SLA-times.
